Introduction

Welcome to BLACK CAT BOOKS; a British source of old radio, wireless, television, electrical, electronic and other (technical) books and pamphlets with FREE KNOWLEDGEABLE ADVICE relating to them

Each 'Sorted by:' page holds all the details of all the catalogue items, but sorted by author, title, etc. into separate pages to suit your preferred method of looking for items.... You only have to tick box(es) on any 'Sorted by:' page and give contact details at the bottom of the same page to deal with us.

Not in the catalogue ? Just enquire by E-mail to: david@dsweetman.fsnet.co.uk

Competent user: If you are reasonably familiar with on-line forms, then skip the rest of this page and use the Sorted by: tabs above.

Nervous / new user: Congratulations ! You already know most of what is needed to use this catalogue and contact us. All you need to know is:
  • Where are the 'scroll bars' to move across (at the bottom) or up and down (at the right-hand side) of the screen
  • How to 'left-click' (press the left button on the mouse with the cursor in the right place)
  • How to 'drag' (press the left button on the mouse with the cursor in the right place, then move the mouse while keeping the left button pressed down until the correct place is reached then release the left button)

  • A test page has been provided for your convenience to practise on - just left-click here or on the How to use this catalogue tab at the top of the page.

How to search for a particular word or phrase

(This works on any pages of this web site; this example is taken from a common browser, but should work in general on most other browsers; regrettably due to the large number of different browsers, it is not feasible to test them all)

If you wish to search for a particular word or phrase on a page, left-click on the 'Edit' button of the browser, then select 'Find...' from the drop-down menu and key in the word or phrase. Make sure that the 'Match case' box is not ticked.
