How did we build this web site ?
We started with a single list of books in no particular order
but only in a simple defined format.
A custom, own-written, program, wrote the general pages
and sorted the list by author, title, etc. into separate
pages. Every time that stocks change, the program can
be run with the amended master list
of books to write all fresh web pages (older
sets of pages are automatically backed up in separate,
numbered directories on our own computer). The fresh
pages are then transferred to the host server.
